The Universiti Malaya Learning Improvement and Teaching Enhancement Research (UM-LITER) was initiated in 2016, aims to provide UM lecturers with funding to conduct research on improving and enhancing Learning and Teaching practices in their own classrooms, courses, and/or programs.
UM-LITER aims not only to provide research funding and mentorship, but also to facilitate connections amongst UM lecturers who are passionate about T&L, and to invite them to be part of a community of practice in which members support one another in their shared quest to offer effective and meaningful T&L experiences to our students.
Since offered in 2016, there are a total of 134 projects granted with the UM-LITER grant.
UM-LITER is renamed as UM Teaching Enrichment Research Grant, focusing on the showcasing educators' T&L journey and achievement.
