  • The e-learning system adopted by ADeC is the open source Moodle. Here are the reasons why you should start to MOODLE:
    • The users don't need to know any programming.
    • Moodle promotes a social constructivist pedagogy (collaboration, activities, critical reflection)
    • Suitable for 100% online classes as well as supplementing face-to-face learning
    • Simple, lightweight, and efficient

    • Quiz can be created from scratch or imported from many formats
    • It's SCORM-compliant (SCORM is the standards used for e-learning)
    • Used all over the world and by many universities in Malaysia
    Attention Lecturers
    ADeC regularly conducts half-day sessions of Moodle Workshop . The workshop will guide you step-by-step in setting-up the course from scratch, upload course materials, divide materials according to their categories, set-up forums, quizzes and other online activities.

Dear all

As of Semester I 2009/10 Moodle e-learning have been integrated with UMISIS. Therefore, to access your course(s), please go to http://adec.um.edu.my/main

Those who have used Moodle in this site (in the early days before it was integrated) will need to transfer their courses to the new URL as soon as possible. Please contact ADeC on what to do.

Moodle Upgraded

Attention Moodle Users

UM-MOODLE has already been upgraded to version 1.9.

We are anticipating minor glitches on the migration. For example, some users may have their photos missing; in which case, they will have to re-upload the photos.

We are trying to sort the problems out, that is why we want to hear comments from our users if you have encountered any problems while using the new version.
